Autobrite Direct -Restore Cutting Compound 500ml Restore Cutting Compound is a high quality high abrasive polishing compound offering the latest in heavy duty cutting abrasives. It produces high cutting action and leaves an excellent even finish ready for refinishing. Ideal for cutting out defects and heavy paint imperfections, severe swirl marks, deeper scratches and can effectively remove up to 1500 sanding marks. The NEW Autobrite Direct "Correct-it" range has been specifically designed for use on modern ceramic and scratch resistant sealants, they have also proven to be ideal for use on harder (German) varnishes. Cut 8/10 - Polish 3/10 Ideal for removing heavy paint defects Easy to use and high cutting action Suitable for Rotary Polisher and DA Silicone-free How to use Before polishing your vehicle, make sure you have thoroughly cleaned and disinfected the paint and that the surface is completely free of dirt that could potentially damage the vehicle's paint. We recommend that you mask any sensitive areas that could be damaged by contact with the car polish, such as grilles, signs, etc. Once you have masked the vehicle and selected your pad and polish combination, you are ready to polish. If you are using a new polishing pad, we recommend applying a larger amount of polish to "prime" the pad for use. Working on an area of approximately 15×15 inches, start buffing at a low speed to spread the polish and gradually increase the speeds until the desired machine speed is achieved. Work the polish until the haze begins to clear, this is the abrasive component of the compound breaking down and starting to polish the surface after cutting. Once the polish reaches the clear stage, it can then be removed with a soft cloth to reveal the condition of the correction. We recommend using IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) to remove any residue and reveal the true level of correction. Once you are satisfied with the condition of your paint, a sealer or wax should be applied for protection.
